Embrace The Mystery, ‘Cause Soul Evolution Isn’t A Linear Process!

How do you view life? Do you think it is a logical process? Do you believe in paradigms that promise you “a+b=c”? Do you hold on to the notion that once you reach the top of the pyramid (pun intended for those of you with a background in Ancient Egypt!) you will get to remain there?

If you answered yes, to any of the above, my question to you is:
“How is that working for you? So, you have been recognized again as the chosen one? Oh, did they return your castle? Well, good for you, if indeed that happened!”

For the rest of us mortals, we have to make peace with the fact that the karmic wheel just keeps going ‘round and ‘round.
For me, this realization came as quite the rude awakening. My calculations weren’t working and my expectations were continuously disappointed. Eventually, it took a while, since I am rather stubborn in nature, I surrendered and humbly made space for the mysteries in life.
In the process, I learned and accepted the fact that the divine plan is a lot more multi-dimensional than our egos would like to believe.

Let me give you a couple of examples:
Imagine a spiritual leader who is meditating twelve hours a day and who treats his followers very well, what do you think his next life would look like?
Maybe, it would be another one of spiritual focus or he might live as a starving actor in New York, or be a baker in a small town in France or a goat farmer in Greece or perhaps a University professor in Moscow. In fact, he may have very high amnesia and not seem very spiritual at all. Now, why would that be?
Perhaps this soul lost touch with the people and felt superior, therefore he is choosing a life that is more rooted in humility and to remember what it feels like to make ends meet. Or, he might be tested on how well he can hold his balance if he doesn’t have the support of a spiritual organization which provides a lot of peace and quiet. So, theoretically any kind of life can flow into a series of new forms, which one wouldn’t expect if you were looking to find a linear process.

Do you expect to find the perfect love under specific conditions?
I.e. You think your karma is good enough, you are attractive, you bring perks to the relationship, you love yourself, you have done your affirmations, you have made space for it and so on and so forth.
Now, look at the world around you. Have you ever seen anyone who doesn’t fit these criteria who has a lot of love in their life? And on the flip side, have you ever seen anyone who fits the profile perfectly and more and who is alone?
Why would that be if life were a logical linear process?
So, let’s apply ourselves as well as we can to the lessons and the experience at hand and then let go and surrender to the mysteries of life.

Is Your Self-Esteem In The Dump? 10 Tips To Turn On Your Soul-Sparklers!

There are days for all of us when we feel dull and depressed. We find a million and one reasons for what’s wrong with us and it’s easy to be overcome by a bout of low self-esteem.

The other day, I had a session with a lovely, attractive lady short of her fortieth birthday. It was after a break-up from a relationship, which she had hoped, would lead to marital bliss. She felt like a failure and that her chances to attract a suitable mate were over. Her usually radiant self was very dulled down and I could see how her fears could turn into a vicious circle and a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It was obvious that she didn’t have control over changing her physical age or the timing of the break-up.  The thing she did have power over was her attitude and the ability to reconnect to her soul.
Spirits’ advice to her was:

Turn on your soul-sparklers!

Here are 10 tips how to turn on yours:

1. Listen to music that inspires your soul and dance in the comfort of your living room. Don’t hold back! Remember who you are beyond your current circumstances.

2. When is the last time you’ve had a chat with your soul? Meditate or write in a journal and figure out your next internal and external steps in life!

3. Let go of a grudge, or two or twenty! Negative emotions tend to block our soul light, if you are feeling a bit low it might be time to unburden yourself.

4. Consider a makeover! When you look in the mirror, do you see yourself reflected as a soul? If the answer is no, it may be time for a makeover. This can include everything from a new hair cut to a detox program, a new exercise regimen or a change in your wardrobe. Be creative here! Sometimes we just lose ourselves in the demands of life! It is time to reclaim you.

5. What is your soul craving? Make sure you make room for your own needs in your life! That will make you a better friend, parent, boss, employee and partner. Small steps are better than none.

6. Do you have a spiritual practice? If you do, is it still working for you? Some form of spiritual practice in our daily life is essential to make our soul sparkle!

7. Spend time with people that see you and that encourage you to be your best self!

8.Avoid people that bring you down and that project their own needs or negativity onto you.

9. Learn to have strong “Yes” and a strong “No”! Defining clearly what we want and don’t want in life helps us to create the life we want. And that will build a strong foundation to make our soul‘s sparkle!

10. Allow yourself to be the best version of yourself and stop fretting over everything that you are not! Your uniqueness is loveable and finding that authentic frequency fearlessly will polish your aura. You won’t fit everyone’s taste but your flavor will be perfect for right people.

And add on to these suggestions! There are an infinite amount of ways we can inspire our soul’s to shine and the more you shine the less you will feel a lack within yourself.

Does This Ego Make Me Look Fat?

As you might have noticed, you can’t buy an insurance policy for the ego!
Quite the opposite is true, if you observe life carefully, especially through the wide camera angle that spans over several lives, you will see that the universal, divine teacher is a great leveler and every ego ultimately will be cut down a few sizes. Ouch, it’s not a lot of fun when one is put overnight on a zero calorie ego diet, especially, if you have allowed yourself to pack on the pounds for a few centuries!

And trust me, I speak from experience here. And yes, of course the indulgences were a whole lot of fun. Who doesn’t enjoy to boss around an army of servants, be the belle of the ball, be the richest man in the country, make their opponents weak in the knees just thinking of you and your genius brain or save a hundred orphans single handedly out of a burning building?
Ah yes, these were the good old days when the world was perfectly alright and every cheer and compliment, every medal, every jealous side look glance went straight to the ego’s midsection before it turned into a gigantic triple chin. Yes, that’s right, I made it all about myself and walked around like my S**t doesn’t stink, and felt utterly superior to the average mortals.

Well, as I said, it was extremely great fun while it lasted. But the karmic wheel has no mercy and it just keeps going ‘round and ‘round and propelled me into a bounty of lives of service and utter humiliation. At first, outraged “don’t they know who I am?” then shocked and stuck in a giant pity-party “poor me, I don’t want to live anymore, give me another whiskey!” to “I am not worthy, I can’t believe how much I messed up” until I ended up in my current predicament “I get it, what do I need to do? Fine, I will cooperate.”

So there we are a few thousand years later. One thing I know for sure, I do not wish to repeat this cycle. Therefore, I keep asking myself: “Does this ego make me look fat?” If I feel the slightest twinge, I voluntarily go on an ego diet instead of waiting for the divine leveler to enforce one.
So, if you have come to the conclusion that your ego is currently a few pounds too heavy, consider an ego diet.

Here are a few tips:

1. Put others first!
2. Let go of ego expectations and count your blessings instead!
3. Commit random acts of kindness and don’t wait for a return!
4. Do charitable act anonymously!
5. Catch yourself in egotistical thinking patterns and reframe them.
6. Hang out with people you consider inferior and figure out what they can teach you.
7. Join a class or do something that is new or hard for you. While doing so, work on finding an attitude of humor, curiosity and surrender.
8. If you tend to make fun of others, learn to make the jokes about yourself.
What you are not funny yet? Well, practice, you are to the rest of the world!

Once you get the hang of the ego diet, it is actually a lot of fun because big egos are pretty cumbersome to navigate around the planet and for enlightenment purposes our ego does have to fit through the eye of a needle.
On that note, I will go back to my diet!!!
